Stg 2 XPT w/stock gutted exhaust?

Thinking of buying the Stage 2 tune for my 02 WRX, but want to make sure it's a good fit. Engine mods are:

02 WRX (USDM)
AEM cold air intake (I've tuned the MAF already, so I'll just copy and paste my MAF table)
Samco intercooler hoses
Stock, gutted uppipe
Stock, gutted downpipe
Stock, gutted midpipe
Stock resonator
Stock axleback
soon - Scoobysport (H&S) 2.5" axelback

Will the flow characteristics of this setup be different enough from a 3" exhaust to throw things off, or will it be fine? The free stage 1 map here runs well. I tried the free stage 2 and it gave me overboost followed immediately by boost oscillation at high load, but I think I probably could have gotten rid of that by readjusting my wastegate arm.

Other questions - the purchased map is still tunable with RomRaider, right? Is there much support for fine-tuning once the map is purchased?

Thanks.

Those mods should be ok as the HKS downpipe is very similar to a gutted stocker. Always RR editable, minor adjustments and log review are included if your car is not running as the map is designed to.

Re: Stg 2 XPT w/stock gutted exhaust?

I have a question, that is kind of related to the first one...

I have a Fujitsubo catless 2" uppipe, Apex short 2.5" downpipe, stock midpipe (2.5"?) with stock cat, 2.75" Milltek catback, Grimmspeed BCS, stock airbox and filter.

Do you think the Stage 2 XPT map is alright with this setup?

Why do you need a panel filter in most maps? K&N filter oil is known to throw MAF sensors off the correct values and their filtering properties are questionable.

I've used it for years without issues. If your MAF is dirty, clean it :) You will need the GM/GS EBCS mapping for your setup.

Thanks for a quick reply.
Do you think your 05 WRX Stage 2 with GM BCS map will be right for my setup? Or should I additionally gut my midpipe to get rid of the second OEM cat?
Is the map available without the launch control?

LC is disabled by default. That map would be best suited for you, I would recommend getting rid of all of the cat's for best flow.

What about Cobb SF intake? Would your stage 2 map work with it?
It's supposed not to change stock MAF readings, according to Cobb...

Yes, it would work fine with the SF. I run one on my car :)
