Low Altitude = Atmospheric Pressure of 13.90 to 14.70.
High Altitude = Atmospheric Pressure of 11.25 to 13.89

Open up your logger and see what the atmospheric pressure is

If it's between 11.25 and 13.89, then it's high altitude

If it's between 13.90 and 14.70, then it's low altitude

ev8siv3, do you have any dyno numbers for the stage 3 like you did for the stage 2 on the 06-07?
I am going to buy the 39 , tmic and bcs next week so I will probably buy the map the end of this week or this week end. Would you recommend a dyno or road tune after I flash?
Thanks,
Dean

how come there's a high and low altitude map for stage 3, but not for stage 2?

Because the Stage 2 doesn't use the GM BCS and goes off of the stock correction maps for altitude.

Do you think vf43 will work just a good as the vf39? What i mean is would changing the XPT stage 3 map be minimal for using vf43?

I would think so, it just has a slightly larger wastegate(which will help prevent creep).

Yes the VF43 will function the same. It flows like the VF39 and the need for porting is no longer necessary.

Ev8siv3

I am looking to switch up to an FPGreen next year sometime. I will need to change the injectors, so I was wondering if I were to change my injectors now on the 39, would that cause any map issues and would I be able to squeeze any more power out of my stage 3 setup?

The injectors aren't as simple as dropping in and driving off. You would have to make sure the latency and scaler are set properly and then check your AFR's to ensure the maf scaling hasn't been thrown off as well. Once you swap injectors, it becomes very hard to throw an off the shelf map on and be at 100%.

thanks Braden.
I was`nt at all sure so I figured I`d ask first.
I just changed my plugs to a one step colder ngk iridium and now I have some small crackle and pops (backfire)
It`s small but noticible and was`nt there before.
I have to set up my other laptop with ecuexplorer so I can run some logs.
Any idea why this might be?

Not that I have here, I know a few customers have gone in and made good power on the map though!

Re: XPT Stage 3 VF39 for MY06 WRX Available Now!!

I don't have a scanner near but will try to post up the graphs soon. I had a before and after done at PDX with a Bullwinkle's stage 2 map as the baseline and the XPT Stage 3 Race as the test. I find the XPT map extremely smooth compared to the others. Buddy has the XPT stage 2 and also immediately noticed a difference.

XPT Stage 3 Race w/Ebay style TMIIC (finally broke down and bought an STI TMIC but haven't installed yet) on PDX Dyno
295lbft@3600 280hp@5500

Bullwinkle's Stage 2 on PDX Dyno
298lbft@2800 235hp@5400

Lastly old school stage 1, I think Braden's free one when tactrix was new at PRE on a dyno dynamics.
232lbft@3700 206hp@5800

I tried to run the stock subaru map but they said it was leaning out and cut it twice, never got a dyno on it.

Edit 11/25: Attached pics of Stage 1, 2, 3, and and 3 overlaid.

Has anyone tried this map with the Grimspeed Boost Controller instead of the GM one?
Would it work?

Needs tweaking, i'm currently working on the 02-05 GM BCS mapping to allow the GS solenoid.
